Why has my payment been returned?

In the event that your payment has been returned, there may be several reasons for this.

  • If the payment details are not accepted by your bank, the amount will be returned.
    This may be because either the bank or the recipient's bank does not wish to receive the payment, or this may be because there are errors in the information that the recipient bank has received.
  • The payment will be sent back to November First's account, from where they will either be paid back to the sender's account or can be sent to the recipient with corrected information.
  • There can be a big time difference in how long it can take before an amount comes back to the account, which can take anything from a few days to months.
    This depends a lot on who the recipient is and which country it was transferred to.



NOTE: All payments that either fail or that have not been paid to Novemberfirst on FIK and International payments will always receive a system and email from the Payments team regarding the error message.
