International payments: China

Here you can find information regarding payments to China.

When making a payment to China, you need to be observant off the number of characters in the name of the recipient. 

If the name consists of more than 35 characters or letters, you need to split the name into two different boxes. These boxes are the ones named "Recipients name" and "Street". The Address of the recipient is then filled out in "C/O". 

A payment for a recipient named "The Chinese Supplier Chuan Deng Technology Co Ltd" which consists of 49 letters, would be filled out as follows: 

Payments with more than 35 characters in the box "Recipients name", will be sent in return from the Chinese bank. 

 

Some payments to China has the letters OSA or NRA in front of the account number instead of an IBAN. While filling out the IBAN/Account nr. box, it is important that you add an "_" in front of the letters OSA/NRA.

When making payments in CNY/CNH to China, a "NARR Code" is required  to show what kind of payment you are making. 

A NARR Code is not required for payments in CNY/CNH to other countries than China. 

If there is not a NARR Code for a payment in CNY/CNH to China, the payment might be cancelled by the receiving bank. 

Insert the The NARR Code in the "Message" box.

In rare cases, a Chines bank might reject a payment because November First is stated as sender of the payment and not the name of our client who issued the payment.
