Not all countries uses IBAN codes for international payments. South Korea is one of the countries where IBAN codes are not used. When making a payment to South Korea, the box for where to put the IBAN/account number might become red telling you the information is faulty since it does not have the normal IBAN format.
If you also put the SWIFT code in the box beside the IBAN number box, the system will accept the information in the IBAN number box.
IBAN/Account number and a SWIFT code in combination will therefor be accepted.
NOTE: It is not possible to make payments to North Korea.
