International payments: India

Here you can find information regarding international payments to India.

Not all countries uses the IBAN-number system for receiving or sending funds. India is one of the countries who does not use the IBAN-number system. When typing the account number in the IBAN/Account number box, the box might turn red stating "Invalid IBAN".

This will change if you proceed to the next box and type in the BIC/SWIFT code.  The system will then understand that the account number is valid, even though it does not have the normal IBAN format. This means that, in these cases, the account number and the BIC/SWIFT code in combination, will be approved.
